Hazardous household waste can be identified by an orange and black hazard symbol or black symbols in a red diamond present on packaging.

It must be delivered in a sealed container and placed in the designated area. If you are unsure where to put it, please ask a member of staff.
A maximum quantity of five litres of hazardous waste per household per month will be accepted.
Cement bonded asbestos and plasterboard
Small quantities of cement bonded asbestos can be taken to Efford HWRC . It must be wrapped in plastic sheeting or double-bagged and sealed with tape. Please call the site in advance to confirm there is adequate space to store it.
Plasterboard is accepted at the tip in small amounts.
