This conservation area appraisal provides supplementary planning guidance on the subject of the design elements of development in Fordingbridge's conservation area. It does so by assessing and analysing the character of the conservation area, and then setting down what implications that has for future development.
This appraisal has previously been issued in draft for public consultation, and been revised in the light of the range of comments received. Subsequently it has been adopted formally as supplementary planning guidance to the New Forest District Local Plan.
